Handwara, Mar 27 (KNO): Inhabitants of several villages of Mawer and Qaziabad areas in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday complained that they are without drinking water for the last four days, saying that the concerned department is acting as mute spectator with taking no action in this regard.

They appealed to the Jal Shatki (Public Health Engineering) department to restore the water supply to the area at an earliest so that people here could heave a sigh of relief.
Sarpanch Audoora G R Teli said that he has also approached the concerned officials several times in this regard, but to no avail.
